You can often find me sitting at my dining table crafting. Sometimes I’ll have my sewing machine out working on anything from a tulle skirt to bandanas for my pup, and lately there’s brown kraft paper and washi tape littered about. But almost always you can count on my calligraphy supplies to be occupying at least a little corner.
Calligraphy is a hobby that I first started a couple years ago and it’s turned into an amazing little business. I noticed calligraphist Melissa Esplin’s online course I Still Love Calligraphy thanks to Pinterest and started 2014 with a month devoted to learning the basics. I’ve continued to practice and build my skills over the years and in 2015 began working on projects for friends and acquaintances. Most of the jobs I do are wedding related and they’re always such a blast. It’s a pleasure and honor to be involved with a celebration of that magnitude. Most recently I finished addressing gorgeous dark emerald green wedding envelopes with a copper gold ink and a fun but classic script.
Small as it may be, my little calligraphy business has been helpful in supplementing my desire to explore. Please reach out to me if you’re interested in working together or have any questions!
